Windows 7 Blitz Has Been Fun
Windows 7 has released and become generally available to the masses – so far to much success. A big part of this was marketing. SPecifically targeted marketing and good buzz generation. It is nice to know the Windows 7 Product Team, Sales, Marketing, and the Senior Leadership team did what we do in CTS and “get in front of the funnel!”
Excellent collaboration with partners, media, and the press (not to mention advertisers!)
The “Windows 7 was My Idea” idea was unusual and questionable at first yet it has turned out to be very successful.
